Jamal Williams (Co-founder)

I believe that we are in one of the most transformative moments in history. The internet has completely redefined what it means to be a small business owner. Everyone who has access to the internet can connect and do business with each other. Unfortunately, all these opportunities can come with a steep learning curve. We founded Adinkra Arts to help bridge that gap.

I’m a nerd, there’s no way around it. Computers have been a major part of my life since I was a child and nothing has changed over the years. I made my very first web page at 12. Since then, I’ve never had a job that wasn’t primarily computer focused. I’ve worked as tech support, a web developer, and then an engineer for some of the biggest and most profitable businesses in the world. I have over 20 years of experience helping to build, brand, market, and grow digital assets. I’m excited to bring those same skills and industry knowledge to supporting small business owners.

Jamal Williams — A Senior Software Engineer with 20 years of experience in software development. In my previous roles, I’ve worked at every level of a technology stack: I have been a leader, a mentor, and certified as a Scrum Master. I have excelled while working in various roles and under many project management frameworks. This breadth of experience has provided me with a well-rounded understanding of what it takes to deliver a project on time, on budget, and to spec.

Amber Denean (Co-founder)

Freedom, independence, and communication are my core values. They are also at the heart of my passion for entrepreneurship. After completing undergrad degrees in Psychology and Business, I went on to earn my Masters of Arts in Communication from The University of Texas at Austin.

Despite my love of learning, I left academia to pursue my own small business goals. Adinkra Arts allows me to do what I love— help small business owners find their voice, and communicate effectively with their customers.
